Founded in 1995, DE-CIX established an environment for the bilateral settlement-free exchange of Internet traffic (peering). DE-CIX is focussed on acting as the gateway between Central and Eastern Europe and the rest of the world. The company is serving 320+ carriers and ISPs from 40+ nations including leading international players.
For our Frankfurt office we are looking for a web developer. Responsibilities include developing a new customer portal and maintaining various external and internal websites and developing tools for customer self service.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, IT or “abgeschlossene technische Berufsausbildung”, or a related field and equivalent work experience
Essential Skills:
- Fluent in spoken and written German
- Excellent command of the English language
- Experience in Web-design / Web-server administration
- Working knowledge of the Linux/Unix operating system
- Understanding of Internet protocols and technologies
- Experience in at least one programming or scripting language
Optional Skills:
- Experience with Linux/Unix system administration
- Experience in systems, IP services and network administration
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenace of the main company website www.de-cix.net
- Maintenance of internal and event websites.
- Development of customer self service tools
- Development of internal tools
- Assist in customer support
